Wesley Hannes
Creative Artist JOICO EMEA Team Member and Creative Artist JOICO Belgium
Artistic Credibility
Wesley is a talented creative artist with over a decade of experience as a stylist and educator. Renowned for being at the forefront of emerging trends, Wesley fuses traditional and contemporary skills in his approach to cutting and coloration services.
Education and artistic expression play equally important roles in Wesley’s work. He attended a private hairdressing school at the age of 12 and started working in a salon at just 15 years old. Influenced by his mother’s successful hairdressing career, Wesley mastered his craft during his youth and is just as passionate now as he was when he picked up his first pair of scissors.
“I would travel to London twice a year to learn at the great academies – not only to develop my skills, but also to fuel my philosophy of lifelong learning.”
“The main reason I am where I am today is because of my love and passion for the hairdressing industry, coupled with a lot of perseverance and an open mind. I believe that there is always something you can learn from others, my eyes will never stop seeing and my brain will never stop thinking creatively.”
Working with JOICO
Wesley first began working within the JOICO Belgium Education Team, where he put his years of attending training schools to good use. It was here that Wesley discovered a new love for training others. As an educator, Wesley emphasizes the importance of learning the basics and building up skills from a strong foundation. Tailoring his training to the student’s individual ability, he observes “people learn better at their own level”.
